Lately, I’ve been inspired to push myself to be more creative. Creativity is something different for each person: to some it’s drawing, maybe to others it’s when they sing or others it’s their street art. I’m not a professional in any of those, but more and more I’ve been feeling myself want to be more and more creative. At this current time, my main outlet of creative expression is through clothes and photography, which is why I started and love Style Wax Poetic so much.
Which brings me to why I was particularly excited when I was approached to work on Perrier’s new campaign, Street Art By Perrier. They’ve worked with artists for 150 years and they, too, are inspired by artists and creativity around the world. If you watch Perrier’s new video you’ll see.
There are amazing artists and street art to be inspired by in Los Angeles; one of my favorite places to explore lately is on La Brea. From street art, to retail stores and one of my favorite coffee shops Graffiti, you can spend a day just walking and getting inspired. I also love that the district is known for streetwear, which is partly what inspired this look. There’s nothing like a little Perrier to keep you company on your stroll. These little cans are super chic, too.
This look to me is amazing because it’s comfortable. I’m looking the streetwear feel the boots add to any overly girly outfit. I love the unexpected, which is why I usually throw off all my outfits to have something a little different than the typical: a leather jacket instead of a blazer, a bootie instead of traditional heel or a pop of lip without my entire face being done up. They’re also adding that cool-girl chic thing that’s so LA right now.
If you’re in LA and looking to stumble upon more street art, make sure check out La Brea and also check the Arts District at 6th and Mateo.
