“Fashion is only the attempt to realize art in living forms and social intercourse.” Francis Bacon, Sr. quotes (English Lawyer and Philosopher. 1561-1626)

A photo should take you out of the world your living in and into another world made by the photographer. I found this beautiful blog Times Are Hard For Dreamers on Lookbook.nu and I was captured instantly! I don’t know about you, but I like living in a dream. Just watch out ahead. xx

The high bun is one trend which is certainly sweeping the nation. Fortunately, it’s a quick and easy hair style which looks great with almost any outfit you choose. Whether you’re looking for the perfect style to wear with clothing combos from sites like my-wardrobe, or simply need a way to keep your hair out of your face whilst staying cool for summer, you should definitely give this style a go. Take a look below to see how to wear the eye-catching high bun with some great summer wardrobe styles.

“Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions.”
Coco Chanel quotes (French Fashion designer who ruled over Parisian haute couture for almost six decades, 1883-1971)

Simple, clean, easy, high bun. Perfect for summer to keep your neck cool.

Man, does it get any better than this? The architecture is done by Chen Chow Little in Sydney, Australia. One beautiful canvas for the basis of a great designed life.

What better way to honor and celebrate beautiful designs than to shrink them by 100 and display them beautiful in a museum? The designs remain tangible, compact, and represented true to form. This is exactly the case with the Viktor Horsting and Rolf Shoeren’s 17 year strong designs of Viktor And Rolf. They’ve taken some of their most well known designs and displayed them at Antwerp’s Studio Job Gallery.

Viktor and Rolf are known for more of their wearable clothing rather than a walking form of art, and they’ve displayed these designs on 30 dolls.

How cute are these pictures? I applaud Tokyo for really going after their own style of fashion, so different than anywhere else in the world.

I love the use of color, complexity and creativity.

“We are shaped and fashioned by what we love.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe quotes (German Playwright, Poet, Novelist and Dramatist. 17491832)

An inspiration shoot of easy outfits, simple textures, and accessorizing. Outfits focus on utilitarian influences, mixing textures and layering. I love the multiple wrist wear in all of the out fits. Light makeup, flowly hair and outfits kept simple with oversized t-shirt base.

Hats!!! They are more on trend right now then ever in all shapes, colors and sizes. Vintage boater hats and fedoras take the top for my list, but  floppy hats are growing on me too.  There are some super cute ones out right now.  I also love white hats. I saw a white fedora at H and M (pictured) and have been thinking of it since, which is a great rule of thumb for shopping (if you are still thinking of it, it’s worth the buy!) I plan on grabbing it next time I’m in a store.   It’s way too perfect for summer,  especially for the beach or with a cute romper bike riding, and goes with all the colors we are wearing this season.

One of my all time favorite hats was from Bloomingdale’s Aqua line, another great place to buy cute on trend hats. They are super reasonable in price as well.

Loving any form of head wraps, bows, bandanas, and hats – they immediately transform an outfit.

Another easy way to stay on trend on a budget!  Jean shirts are everywhere and I splurged on mine from one of my favorite designers – Helmut Lang. The materials they use are to die for – so soft!  The dress is an older one, but the sleeves happen to have a little 80s love in the shoulder. My favorite boots are falling apart…I’m trying to salvage them as much as I can, but I love the height and they are very comfortable!  Again, I love to mix girly with menswear, so to me this is a perfect mix!

Lauren Hastings on Muhulland Drive in Helmut Lang.  I love the photography here with the soft life and the white willows behind her. The clothes are pretty amazing too – mesh tops, neutral color palate, jean structured top, high tops and leggings (always adorable) and soft makeup.
