Dot…dot…dot
This Fall, look for a new spin on the classic polka dot; dots of all sizes and colors,  everywhere from accessories, pantyhose and hats, to even full dotted uniforms. Looking for something extra exciting? Try polka dots on unique material, like pleather, or sparkly sequin dot accents.  Dot marks the spot — for trend-setting style.

Kinda kinky
Maybe we should thank Rihanna for this one, after her S&M hit, but fashion designers are bringing out the ropes and chains this fall. Look for bondage-inspired accessories, leather and patent leather, high necks, corsets, high waists and black, as well as sheer fabrics accented by strips of shiny fabric — which looks a lot like stripes of bondage tape. It’s all a little punk, but taken to a new level of edginess.

Bright and fluffy
Forget your grandma’s simple, classic tan fur coat. This fall, keep yourself warm and make a colorful statement, with some pretty crazy shades and styles of fluff. Some are calling this trend “psychedelic fur,†and where’s why: Look for pinks, blues, greens — every color in the rainbow that Mother Nature never made animals in. Other designers have found unique ways to accent with fur or created some cutting-edge cuts that we’ve never seen before.

Choker necklaces
Time to start swapping out your long, dangling, multi-stranded necklaces of 2010, because 2011 is cinching up the neck accessories much tighter. Designers are pulling out some beautiful chokers, which are mysterious and sexy, yet more subtle than the over-the-top necklaces that we’ve seen so much of lately. Look for thicker chokers than in the ‘90s.
