I remember my first pair of ALDO boots I found in New York City in 2006. They were up to the knee, the perfect shade of reddish-brown, slouched to perfection and wedged heel. Not only that they were marked down for $75! These were, and still are, my favorite boots. Unfortunately, my boyfriend will not let me wear them any more as I’ve worn them into he ground. This is a true testament to ALDO, their amazing styles and great prices. Not only that they are always on trend.

Their Spring/Summer Collection features neutrals, color blocking, monochrome, and more.

NEUTRALS

The PRAK is the perfect summer heel, one one that every short woman should own. I fell for wearing nude shoes a while back because it went with everything, and made it made my legs look longer. We love that!

It’s BLOCK PARTY

If you like to stand out, the BLAYNE platform is for you. These attention grabbing heels will brighten any party! Show up and get noticed. Pair these with white jeans and a bright top for a full color-blocking look. They remind me of my Latin girlfriends who wear color so well. You may feel inspired to try out a Salsa class!

BLACK & WHITE never did anyone wrong..

A wedged DAGRACA from ALDO may be the way for any indecisive shopper. Black and white never dies and an wedge offers height and comfort.

HEELED SANDALS

Bless the heart of the person who put a heel on a sandal. If you are anything like me, flats just don’t do it for you. While I want to embrace the warm summer weather, I also want to feel sexy. The JILLANNE, is the sexy sandal for summer.

{wren x clare vivier totes}

Celebrated Los Angeles based designers and friends Clare Vivier and Melissa Coker of Wren announce a collaboration for Spring 2012. Combining Vivier’s timeless style with Wren’s easy, gamine spirit, the limited edition handbag incorporates a celestial print from Wren’s Spring 2012 collection in a shape inspired by a classic French market tote. Ecologically friendly, too! The bag features vegetable-tanned leather detailing and is fully reversible, to reveal a beautiful, contrast color.

Don’t stop there, further supporting our mother earth, these bags are made and produced in Los Angeles, proudly bearing the moniker “locally made.” The collaboration is an extension of the designer’s commitment to social consciousness, mindful of the local manufacturing community for the jobs it produces and the low carbon footprint it enables. Further, Wren x Vivier is made from Wren’s production remnants — by finding a use for what would typically be a great deal of waste, these bags are not only beautiful, but incredibly earth friendly.

The collaboration was inspired by a conversation between the two friends. Looking for fabrications to incorporate in a series of leopard print bags, Vivier turned to fellow Los Angeles designer, Coker. This marks Coker’s second collaboration with an accessories line, the first being a collaboration with jewelry line Fallon for Spring 12.

The reversible tote retails for $350 and are available exclusively at both the Vivier and Wren online boutiques now.
