If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I attended the Alicia + Olivia Runway show in Los Angeles at the Neuhaus. If I had to pick one word to describe the show, it would definitely be MAGICAL.
The show took place on the Wednesday before Coachella and featured Alicia + Olivia’s first ever See-Now-Buy-Now collection in partnership with Neiman Marcus. Featured looks were from Alice + Olivia’s just released Grateful Dead collection, all easily wearable to the upcoming weekends in Coachella.
There aren’t a lot of high-end runway shows in Los Angeles, but when they make an appearance they’re usually over the top and amazing. I loved the beautiful transformation of the Nuehouse. The backdrop featured pink walls with green brush and the center stage displayed cheery blossom trees, bohemian pillows, a piano, guitar, vintage lampshades and more. Sitting front row (eh-hem, wasn’t me…jk) but Kourtney Kardashian and her friend Emily Ratajkowski. Other attendees of the night included Anna Paquin, Moby, Whitney Port, Holland Roden and more.
I love this dressed down jean jacket contrasted with a glamour skirt! (ABOVE) Also, slightly obsessed with her hair.
Kourtney donned an all tan side look and sleek hair (a look I’ve been loving and trying to do on myself more often). I love an all suede look right now – definitely red carpet worthy for any fashion shows in Los Angeles.
“I hope to inspire consumers worldwide to kick off their festival season with alice + olivia,” said Bendet, “a See-Now-Buy-Now runway show is something I have been wanting to do for a few seasons but it took time to feel out when and where felt right…I wanted what I showed on that runway to be relevant to what consumers actually want to wear, now. I came up with the idea to have the show around Coachella and have the runway looks be based upon things that every girl would want to wear to a music festival.”
