Starting officially this week, I’ll be contributing at the amazing decor, fashion and lifestyle site, Casa & Company. I’m sharing what not to wear to a wedding and a few looks I’m loving. Check out the full post on Casa & Company or you can shop my looks below.
Black is always chic and it’s especially a good choice when done with a lace or a pattern. Crop tops and skirts are one of the chicest looks this year. They offer the perfect balance of high fashion and class. The best part is you’ll be able to wear these separates again and again this year.
On a budget? Don’t worry, we got you covered. I love this muted green dress from H&M that would look great especially on an olive skin toned. While the dress is rather simple, it looks amazing with colorful statement necklace. Katherine Kwei snakeskin silver clutch is definitely a conversation piece and ties in well with your silver heels. It’s available at Rent The Runway for only $55.
It’s a summer wedding, which means color is not only welcome but celebrated. Try a colorful dress like this Ted Baker BowTie detail number with a pair of colorful strappy heels. Tone it down with a classic jacket in neutral since both the dress and shoes are quite colorful. I promise, this look will get you so many compliments and you’ll feel great and confident. Who knows, you may even catch the bouquet?
As much as we all love the way heels make us feel, they’re just not appropriate for day. Now, more than ever, is the time to wear flats and still feel uber stylish with sneakers and Birkenstocks being just as good of an option as wedges. Here are 15 flats that will make you feel super stylish this season. Pair your flat sandals with a long skirt and crop top, your Birks with destroyed boyfriend jeans, and oxfords with just about anything. I’ve started to embrace the trend myself and have been loving my espadrilles and slip-ons.
There’s something about the change of seasons that make us feel like get organized. With summer approaching, here’s how I’m getting refreshed for summer.
1. Closet Organization
Do you look in your closet and feel like you have nothing to wear? Every so often I go through the same thing and partly, it’s because of our closets. Here’s a few things to consider:
If you haven’t worn a piece of clothing in six months or a year, get rid of it! It’s clogging up your closet and making you feel like you don’t have anything to wear, which trust me, you do.
Buy ONLY the things you really love and you’ll be excited to pull out of your closet and wear. Save up if you need to and shop less, overtime you’ll have many more pieces you’re excited about.
Look to others for inspiration and spend time thinking of the look you want to achieve. Emulate that look and buy pieces that will make you feel like the girl you’re inspired by.
Invest in nice hangers. They will make everything better.
2. Beauty Routine
Nothing will make you feel more refreshed then a couple new beauty tricks and a few new shimmery and colorful makeup products. Here’s a few things I’m loving and that I recently picked up for summer.
Coconut Oil – I use this all day erreday. I use it on my face, hands and body. Seriously, it’s the best moisturizer or makeup remover and an entire bottle is only $5! Trust me this one, you need to start.
Highlighter – I’ve been trying to learn more about contouring and I love how beautiful a highlighter can make a face look (pictured above). I personally love a creme highlighter – try Benefits Watt’s Up! to achieve the look.
3. Plan A Weekend Getaway
A few weekends ago I went to Palm Springs with my girlfriends with Kelly GoLighty and L*Space and it was the perfect way to get refreshed and ready to kick off summer! Even if it’s just a couple hours away, a weekend getaway can make you feel refreshed and renewed. Going to somewhere sunny and warm? Make sure to enter my L*Space giveaway to get you prepared.
4. Do it all with the help of Starbucks Iced Coffee
I literally have been going to Starbucks since I was in junior high and it will always have a found place in my heart. I am a regular coffee drinker and during a busy day or a road trip, coffee is always by my side. These Bottled Starbucks® Iced Coffees are extremely delicious and easy for when you don’t have time to make coffee or stop at the store. SWP approved.
How do you get refreshed for summer?
Bottled Starbucks Iced Coffee beverages are the perfect blend of premium Starbucks coffee and 2 percent milk. Available in four delicious offerings: Coffee + Milk, Low Calorie Coffee + Milk, Vanilla, and Caramel, Starbucks Iced Coffee ready-to-drink beverages are the perfect on-the-go refreshment to get you through the daily commute, big projects such as spring cleaning, or an exciting road trip with friends. I hope by now you’re extra rested in the midsts of a long weekend and have some fun plans Memorial Day. Before you head out, make sure to spend some time taking advantage of these amazing memorial day sales ending Monday night at midnight. I am soo tempted by these boots and I’ve been waiting for a good time to splurge on a watch from Nordstrom (some great sale options below). I did make time to stop in Zara this weekend, but with so many options in sales, online is really the best way to go for everything else. Keep in mind it’s a great time to make that big purchase with the extra discount but don’t buy just to buy. Think about what you really need in your closet before going crazy.
Also, if you haven’t already entered my L*Space Giveaway, make sure to do so by Saturday. XO

I’ve been so into sportswear fashion lately, maybe it’s the old soccer player in me? If you saw my last post on minimalism, you read that I found some amazing pieces over the weekend. It’s sometimes hard to see how the fit and look of something is online, so this post will give you a better idea of some of the pieces. I’ve styled the same outfit for night which I’ll be posting later this week. :)
