Hey loves! I hope you enjoyed an amazing weekend and a safe Halloween. I had a relaxing weekend in San Diego visiting family and thoroughly enjoyed the weather FINALLY cooling down in Southern California. Needless to say, all it took was one day of rain and brisk air to get me craving big chunky knits, over-the-knee boots and new fall pieces. This week’s edit reflects everything I’m craving right color wise: clean simple lines like whites and greys, with mauve accents. Knits are EVERYTHING to me right now and I picked up a few pieces I can’t wait to show you in outfit posts this upcoming week. FALL FASHION is probably my favorite season – what about you?!
I’d love to know what you’re lusting after this season. Comment below or let’s chat about it on Instagram.

Hi everyone! I’m really excited about today’s post. One, because my talented sister took them and two, I’m wearing something I usually wouldn’t pick. But I love it. In the past, I’ve gravitated to neutrals and black, which lately to me seem boring. Colors and prints are making such a statement in fashion these days, it’s been really fun, but a challenge to try to get into them. I consciously have to change my way of thinking when I shop, because I usually don’t think of RED shoes or blue booties, but it’s really amazing what bold color like that can do for your entire look.
Today, I’m wearing pieces from a store I recently discovered – Romwe. They offer free shipping, which is pretty amazing, but also they have some pieces that I haven’t seen much of. This entire outfit cost me about $100, too. The material is great and it feels really good on. The jacket is reversible and can definitely be paired with other looks.
Thanks for reading. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts and what you’re loving these days! XO
Transitioning into fall means slowly picking up a few pieces that can be worn for the seasons to come, but that doesn’t mean letting go of past trends entirely. One that’s moving forward it is floral accents, like this bomber jacket from Zara. I’m a fan of anything cream and white, which look amazing with a great tan and navy for fall. These La Garcon distressed boyfriend jeans are a must-have this season. Throw it on with this cozy and two toned chic sweater and booties and you’ll be comfortable and stylish during the cold fall temperatures. The most IMPORTANT thing about this post is that JCREW is offering 25% of everything with code SHOPFALL. I love their clothing but is more lately obssesed with their jewelry pieces. I’ve been eyeing this bracelet forever and now it’s definitely time to buy. The I wanted to say is if you’re looking for a great eyeliner, you should definitely try Lorac’s cream eyeliner. I love it in navy because it’s not as harsh as black.
If you follow my Instagram, you probably have noticed I’m obsessed with these beautiful leaves lately! I love the seasons and it’s nice to know Los Angeles actually does have them, at least a little.
My outfit today was inspired from these lovely printed pants. A bold pant is easy to outfit as the rest of the outfit can be pretty simple (blacks, whites, etc). These pants are one of my recent purchases from the Kelly Wearstler sample sale. If I could, I would shop all year long at sample sales, as I still can’t really believe how well I did. I will be posting more on this to come, but be sure to sign up for Daily Candy for their daily newsletter if you haven’t. They list all the great sales in town!
For the top, I’ve always wanted to try out the the cropped look. A bandeau is a great purchase and you’ll find you use it all the time. Of course you need a jacket or cover-up to wear with it, so I threw on my employees only inspired zipper jacket!
I wouldn’t suggest wearing this out in the day, but for a night time out with your girls or a funky gallery opening, go for it! For a more causal look, this can be paired with a simple t-shirt and wedge booties.

There’s been a lot of buzz around Art District’s latest gem, Bestia LA, and it’s officially open last Friday after much anticipation. I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant with a couple of my fellow blogger babes, Jenny Wu from Good, Bad & Fab , and Taye Hansberry, from She Likes Stuff. If you’re anything like me and miss the New York City vibe here in Los Angeles, a visit to Bestia DTLA will make you feel right back at home. Nestled away in the Arts District, this area is becoming one of my favorite places in Los Angeles.
Expect open an industrial feel, exposed brick, large windows that open in the patio covered in vine and an open kitchen where you can watch the married duo, chef Ori Menashe (Angelini Osteria) and pastry chef Genevieve Gergis, whip up some magic. The reviews have been nothing but fantastic and after visiting, I now see why.
Here are just a few of the amazing items on the menu..
Olives – $5 for a bowl of delicious olives.
Roasted Vegetables – beautiful presentation
Pizza Bianca – some of the best pizza around. A little taste of Napoli
Chestnut Papardelle – poached egg deliciousness on Mushroom Ragu
Squid Ink Pasta – made from the highest quality dry pasta there is. This is one of favorites and i don’t even love pasta, cooked al denti to perfection with a touch of spice.
Roasted marrow bone – I don’t eat red meat but everyone else ADORED this dish.
Dessert – anything from pastry chef Genevieve Gergis is amazing. She whipped up some coffee ice cream for us from mostly milk, not cream, and we all could not believe how amazing it was. To give you an idea, Nancy Silverstein tried one of her cookies and was so impressed, it is now on the menu at Bread.

Look ONE – The Elegant One
A white pair of edgy jeans can transition seamlessly into an elegant look with a little gold and a little shimmer. A fitting sweater keeps it classic and a sweet, elegant heel will add a softer appearance. Add a little bling with a classic cocktail ring and a good bracelet and you’ll be good for brunch in Beverly Hills.

Look TWO – Casual Cool
Go casual with striped sweater and a pair of wedged boots. I love the combination of blue, brown and white. Pair it with a dainty necklace for an everyday fall look.

Look THREE – Sophisticated and Sexy
Edgy, sexy and fashionable is the way you’ll be described when wearing this look. I love the combination of white, black and gold – it’s simple and sophisticated. The blazer adds class to the outfit and a bootie with a skinny heel add a sexy feel. This is a great dinner outfit in any city and is also sexy enough to carry on the night for an evening of dancing.

Look FOUR – Rocker Cool
A white jean can be casual when paired with a moto cross body jacket and a grey turban. A flat boot will keep you comfortable all day yet looking stylish enough to go straight to dinner. Day time wear never looked so cool.
Shop The Look
While you may not be shopping for scarves in Los Angeles, for the other parts of the world (the normal ones), you’re probably pulling out the sweaters, boots and enjoying your pumpkin lattes as you stare out the window at the beautiful orange leaves. Oh, how I miss the NYC seasons! I did however, enjoy a few days of cold weather when I visited San Francisco, and the crisp air in the mornings made me ‘oh-so-excited’ for fall.
Other than being cozy and wonderfully warm, a scarf is an accessory that can take an average outfit and make it adorable, just by adding a scarf. I love black and white, as I think it goes with a lot. I also still adore chunky knits, which I’ve posted on times before. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with oversized piece, and I love the options these day for scarves that offer a thick material with length, such as the one offered by Beryll. Muted tones go with everything, while a pop of color can be fun too. So many options below, I hope you enjoy the transition into fall. I’m so ready – how about you?
What a lovely evening with the friends and family of Kucoon! I have fallen for the line, and I know you will too.
Andrea Spratt, the founder and designer of Kucoon, designs an elegant, whimsical line styled with layering, fringe, wraps and hoodies! Who doesn’t love a hoodie for Winter?! Her line is moody, but casual. Complicated, but just enough. The materials are so soft you could wear them to bed – just do it, I won’t tell – Â jumpsuits perfect for lounging in.
The piece of the night was the Hooded Shawl, aka “Fringe Hood”, with fringe, layering and length (pictured below.) This piece can be worn three different ways, wrapped loosely with length, double wrapped hung in the front or with the fringe scarf thrown to the side. I love the lines’ simplicity using mulitple shades of greys and stripes and keeping patterns at a minimum.  Tons of maxis this season – with a touch of detail around the waist or neckline. Check out more here: http://store.kucoondesigns.com/.
Other than shopping through the $20/$30/$40 dollar bins (score?!), the rest of the evening consisted of really good peeps, good music and yummy food and drinks.
I came across a really cool jewelry line, too! Valou Tri Caps – for men and women. Her designs are super rad, but her story is even better.  You may have seen these similar designs lately, but let me tell you, Valou was the first to design this awesome concept! Hopefully, she’ll land her patent soon. Originally from France, Valou explained to us in her ‘ever-so-cool’ accent, that she’s designing some rings for Lady Gaga (pictured below). Think layers and layers of 3 diamonds – so Lady Gaga, so cool. She mentioned a couple rappers she’s doing some designs for too!
A fun evening with great designs – who could ask for more? Â I’m heading back soon to purchase a few pieces I’m coveting. Check out more at Kucoon.
