Transitioning into fall season, we naturally want to reach towards darker colors and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. While it’s invebitable to not wear black, I do think it’s important to approach the season with a number of offset colors that will pair well with your blacks, wines and browns, so the season doesn’t turn into a full season of drab colors.

While some are afraid to wear white after Labor Day, I say throw that out the window and pair your white ripped jeans with black booties and an oversized chunky sweater. Ripped jeans are a must for me for fall – Topshop offers them in black, too.

I’m excited to invest in a few new beauty routines like a darker lip and new nail polish hues. I think Essie’s Snakeskin bronze is the must have this season as it will go with almost everything. I’m loving grey nail polish, too.

In terms of accessories, I mentioned in my last post that I’m really looking to invest more as you know they completely transform look. I am starting to gravitate more towards silver in a major way. This necklace is everything!

What have you been lusting over this Fall? Comment below I’d love to see your favorite pieces! Xo

One of the easiest, chicest looks these days that’s not only cute, but comfortable, involves a sweatshirt. The comfy piece that you’re used to wearing on the couch, is now acceptable at work, during the day or night, and actually ENCOURAGED when brunching.

Now, what to do and how to wear the sweatshirt is where it get’s tricky. One of my favorite looks is shown above, with a flirty skirt (or skirt worn as a dress), boots, and chunky necklace. It’s flirty and fun but not overdressed. It’s great for day time and can be worn at night with tights and jacket. Not only will everyone think you’re adorable, you’ll be comfortable, all day! I’m sharing a few more looks with you below and a few pieces for you to shop the look. XO

Happy Holidays, friends! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas with family and loved ones. I spent mine in San Diego in 80 degree weather! I couldn’t believe it, but then again I could, because that’s Souther California for you.  I enjoyed it but I’ve always wanted a white snowy Christmas! Maybe one year. :)

I’ve been searching the internet high and low for some of the best deals for after Christmas. It’s the time of year where retailers literally mark everything down and try to get their season’s product to move as fast as possible. It’s THE best time to buy.

Sole Society Booties: To start, I’ve been eyeing these booties in cobalt blue for a couple months now and haven’t made the purchase. They are now marked down to $40, such a steal. I bought them in blue but they also have them in red and grey.

Lauren Conrad Tulle Maxi Skirt: I wanted this in color, but for $30 I think it’s great in black too. I’m going to add a belt and wear it with a white crew neck t-shirt with a touch of bling around my neck.

Black & White Skirt: This is another amazing find, for only $25 plus 20% off when you sign up on Facebook and share your purchase link! I saw my fellow fashion blogger wearing it a while back and it looks great on. There’s tons more from SheInside that you’ll have to check out while you’re there. Faux Furs are the must-have of the season and this one is only $40. Wear it with black leg gins, boots and a simple t-shirt. If fur is too much, this cobalt blue jacket is another fab find!

Shop the rest of the goodies below and let me know what you end up getting! Have a great day beauties. XOXO

Hi everyone! I’m really excited about today’s post. One, because my talented sister took them and two, I’m wearing something I usually wouldn’t pick. But I love it. In the past, I’ve gravitated to neutrals and black, which lately to me seem boring. Colors and prints are making such a statement in fashion these days, it’s been really fun, but a challenge to try to get into them. I consciously have to change my way of thinking when I shop, because I usually don’t think of RED shoes or blue booties, but it’s really amazing what bold color like that can do for your entire look.

Today, I’m wearing pieces from a store I recently discovered – Romwe. They offer free shipping, which is pretty amazing, but also they have some pieces that I haven’t seen much of. This entire outfit cost me about $100, too. The material is great and it feels really good on. The jacket is reversible and can definitely be paired with other looks.

Pants – Romwe; Top – Rowme (only $19.99); Twin Sides Smooth Coat – Rowme (25% off now); Heels – c/o Sole Society; Watch – c/o old but similar La Mer Collections

Thanks for reading. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts and what you’re loving these days! XO

Here in LA, we’re still a little confused – what season is it? We should be thankful, I know, but I really can’t wait for sweater weather, cozy season, sunny with a brisk air. Well, Sunday felt like summer again  (reason for my dress) while it should be fall (reason for my scarf). What temperature are you feeling? I promise we’ll on get on track soon and we’ll all be talking layers and boots, very, very soon. Until then, I hope you enjoy the post. I loved how the photos turned out, golden hour did me well. XO

There’s SO many things on my wish list right now, it’s ‘cray.’Here are just a few things I’m loving right now from maxi dresses, to crop tops, poka dot napkins and floral blazers. UGH, it’s all bananas. Enjoy shopping my closet and comment below to let me know what you’re coveting.

After Fall’s more-is-more lavishness, designers seemed to take quite a different approach for Spring. It doesn’t get any more back-to-basics than black and white, which quickly emerged as one of the season’s big themes. To us it’s one of those trends that isn’t a trend, meaning Black and White is so classic, I’m pretty sure it’s here to stay for good. It was noticeable on the runway with eye catchers from Oscar De La Renta, Jill Sander, Jason Wu just to name a few. Shop the trend below to wear this trend before everyone else catches on to it. That is the fun thing about trends, right? The best part, these pieces will stay in your closet forever. XOSWP

Lately, it’s all about LOVE. I love, love and fashion seems to love, love too. Why not celebrate it, embrace it, wear it and be it. Shop the look below and watch all the love that comes into your life.

If you follow my Instagram, you probably have noticed I’m obsessed with these beautiful leaves lately! I love the seasons and it’s nice to know Los Angeles actually does have them, at least a little.

My outfit today was inspired from these lovely printed pants.  A bold pant is easy to outfit as the rest of the outfit can be pretty simple (blacks, whites, etc). These pants are one of my recent purchases from the Kelly Wearstler sample sale. If I could, I would shop all year long at sample sales, as I still can’t really believe how well I did.  I will be posting more on this to come, but be sure to sign up for Daily Candy for their daily newsletter if you haven’t. They list all the great sales in town!

For the top, I’ve always wanted to try out the the cropped look. A bandeau is a great purchase and you’ll find you use it all the time. Of course you need a jacket or cover-up to wear with it, so I threw on my employees only inspired zipper jacket!

I wouldn’t suggest wearing this out in the day, but for a night time out with your girls or a funky gallery opening, go for it! For a more causal look, this can be paired with a simple t-shirt and wedge booties.

I love the train station in Glendale, hidden down the street away from everything. The historic building is magical at sunset, and happens to be only 10 minutes from my place.  It’s definetly a great place for photos and beautiful at dusk.  By now you’ve seen my faux fur vest, that goes with just about anything. What’s on your wish list?

One of my favorite parts about being a blogger is getting to play not only with fashion – colors, trends, textures and layers – but photography. If I didn’t do what I did today, I am pretty sure I’d be a photographer where you capture emotion, light and create a story with stills using subjects and scenery. I’ll be brining back Fashion Photography Thursdays twice a month, as there are so many talented photographers that need to be celebrated! Stay tuned.

For today’s outfit post, I attempted to create a casual, yet still romantic day look.  One challenge I always face is finding a day outfit that I’m not over dressed in, and still feel chic. Heels just don’t go for day time unless you’re headed to an event or work. Flats can make me feel short and unattractive, especially in shorts – you may agree?  While struggling all through summer to find the best casual day time look, as you can’t wear jeans (it’s way too hot!), I stumbled up these boots by Luxury Rebel and I knew they were perfect. They have just the slightest wedge and they’re perfect for daytime. I’ve been braving the shorts, even though I didn’t get too much tan this year, and I wanted to pair it all with a chic top to bring the look up a notch, so I paired it with my Isabel Lu top, which is girly, chic and fun. What do you think? It’s a good thing too because I ended chasing Chloe all over the park. She still needs her training.

Check back tomorrow to see how I made an easy transition from day to night.

Last week’s launch of LOFT’s “Live in Pink” was a night you didn’t want to miss. Celebrating a very special partnership with style personality and breast cancer survivor Giuliana Rancic to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, fashionistas, survivors and supporters from Los Angeles gathered on The Private Rooftop Club at Petit Ermitage.

We drink, ate, chatted, photoboothed and celebrated a wonderful partnership to support The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Their mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health. Currently, over 90 cents of every dollar donated goes to research and awareness programs. Above is the gorgeous LOFT necklace designed by Giuliana Rancic.

We closed the night with a little DIY t-shirts!

It was a lovely evening all around.
