If you follow my Instagram, you probably have noticed I’m obsessed with these beautiful leaves lately! I love the seasons and it’s nice to know Los Angeles actually does have them, at least a little.

My outfit today was inspired from these lovely printed pants.  A bold pant is easy to outfit as the rest of the outfit can be pretty simple (blacks, whites, etc). These pants are one of my recent purchases from the Kelly Wearstler sample sale. If I could, I would shop all year long at sample sales, as I still can’t really believe how well I did.  I will be posting more on this to come, but be sure to sign up for Daily Candy for their daily newsletter if you haven’t. They list all the great sales in town!

For the top, I’ve always wanted to try out the the cropped look. A bandeau is a great purchase and you’ll find you use it all the time. Of course you need a jacket or cover-up to wear with it, so I threw on my employees only inspired zipper jacket!

I wouldn’t suggest wearing this out in the day, but for a night time out with your girls or a funky gallery opening, go for it! For a more causal look, this can be paired with a simple t-shirt and wedge booties.

I love the train station in Glendale, hidden down the street away from everything. The historic building is magical at sunset, and happens to be only 10 minutes from my place.  It’s definetly a great place for photos and beautiful at dusk.  By now you’ve seen my faux fur vest, that goes with just about anything. What’s on your wish list?

data-imagelightbox="g">data-imagelightbox="g"> Sometimes you just need to drive, and that’s exactly what I did. I hit the pavement with my girl Chole (you know, my pups), and we headed up the 101. There is something about the central and northern coast that is straight magical! I stayed the first night in a charming guest house located on a farm in Arroyo Grande (10 mins outside of SLO), and boy is it beautiful. Waking up to say good morning to 16 horses that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Following my morning of feeding hay and hanging with these beautiful creatures, I headed up north to continue my journey to a little town called Mill Valley. I was amazed of all its beauty; let me break it down for you. These gorgeous homes, that look like they’re straight out of Dwell magazine, sit in the mountains surrounded by 50ft trees. The town of Mill Valley is home to a restaurant from celebrity chef and Food Network star, Tyler Florence, cute boutiques and arts festivals. One will feel inspired, creative and relaxed simultaneously while being there. If you need your city fix, which I definitely do, you hop on the Golden Gate bridge and you’re in San Francisco in 15 minutes. If you’re craving the beach, head west for 10 minutes to find some of the most divine caves on the beach you’ve ever seen!

So it’s obvious, I had a wonderful road trip, but we also managed to find some time to be fashionable amongst all the nature. My favorite, as anyone who reads my blog would know, is combining high fashion in nature. I adore the juxtaposition of the two. These were taken just steps from where I was staying. I love the futuristic looks combined with the trees. I hope you enjoy! xo

Such a gorgeous day it turned out to be in LA for the Oscars. I’m heading out shortly to style stalk some of the fashion parties around town.

Style Notes: Every girl MUST own a leather jacket [find it towards the end of the season and spend $200-300, NOT $600] I believe it’s totally unnecessary to spend that much if you have some patience. My top/dress is by Odylyne. They are a lovely brand from San Francisco but the talented designer Stephanie  is a LA native. I urge you to check them out HERE – dreamy, gypsy like clothing that makes makes you feel like a modern day hippie. This dress top goes with so much – layer it, or wear it as a dress.

My necklace is a steal and cost less than my Coffee Bean coffee this morning. As you know Tribal statements are huge right now – this is my take on it.

My booties are Pour La Victoire from Loehmanns a couple years ago. I believe I paid around$75 which reminds me I should be stopping by Loehmanns very soon. NOW is a GREAT time to find boots since it’s the end of the season.

Hope everyone enjoys the show – reviews to come soon!!! xx
