Los Angeles certainly doesn’t have a shortage of hair salons and talented stylists, which is wonderful, but having so many options can also mean being overwhelmed with choices. Having lived in Los Angeles for four years, I’ve tried quite a few hair salons and I can say that I honestly have been to some of the best that LA has to offer. Here are some my favorites:
Studio.Daze | Hair By Kelli Christine (in Salon Republic) (Beverly Hills)
Kelli is truly a gem. I had the chance to get to know Kelli at her previous salon and over time, I realized I always felt so great being around her. She’s professional, extremely talented and truly a special human being who gives so much to her clients! If you’re one who needs to come in super early before work or super late and is always texting last minute for an appointment (ummm, so me), this salon is for you. Kelli is known to accommodate your schedule and she even makes house calls. She is definitely well rounded but specializes in extensions and color. I realized the truth to that statement after receiving multiple compliments on the color of my hair after my last visit. Even other hair stylists have commented on the talent of her work. What I also love is the comfort of her salon. She makes you feel so at home, relaxed and even has a TV in her studio if you’ll be there for a while. Movie anyone? Read more about my last visit to her here.

Sally Hershberger (Weho)
Known for being a trendsetter and having some of the best skills in the idustry, Sally Hershberger is one of the most influential and sought-after hairstylists across the globe.
I visited Sally’s salon last week for a blowout. It was a Friday during the day and it was bustling! Sally’s salon is the type of salon you feel alive in and you walk out ready to make big things happen! Her moto is Change Your Hair, Change Your Life – I actually believe in this sentiment whole heartedly. Don’t you just feel like your life is so much better and manageable when you have good hair? Ok, somewhat of a vain statement but I honestly feel that way. My hair is really tough and I feel restored and renewed with good hair. It’s worth it.
The stylist in this picture is one of my favorites. I loved the way he parted my hair and the final look, with soft silky boho-waves. He uses a curling technique I haven’t seen before that was brilliant. I’d tell you but I think you’ll have to experience it yourself to see what I mean. ;) His name is Paul Perez, celebrity hair stylist who specializes in weddings, updos and is great styling clip-ins. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and see him again. I can’t wait to go sit in his chair again!

Eden Sassoon Salon (8600 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood)
I recently had the chance to visit a gorgeous salon, Eden Sassoon Salon in West Hollywood. Eden Sassoon is the daughter of the legendary beauty icon, Vidal Sassoon and owner of the newly launched EDEN by Eden Sassoon Finishing Studio in Los Angeles. What I love about this salon is the gorgeous decor (check out that wall!), but also its location. It’s in the heart of everything on the Sunset Strip, so it’s a great place to visit when you’re in town and want something close by to the Mondrian or The Standard. I visited their salon to try their Keratin Complex’s Texture ID. They recently launched a Texture Bar, where their stylists will help you find the best texture – wave, smooth, curtly, for your hair with amazing products from Keratin Complex. What do you think of my #TextureID?

The Doves Studio, Santa Monica
A few years ago, hosted an event at The Doves Salon Santa Monica and ever since it’s held a special place in my heart. It’s gorgeous inside, their stylists are knowledgable and it’s located steps from the ocean. It’s definitely one of the best hair salons on the west side. I went for Hair Extentions with Chris, who’s amazing, and he used Hair Dreams in my hair. I received so many compliments that that were some of the best hair extensions they’ve seen.
They’re holding an amazing event next week on the 15th that sounds amazing! If you’re interested in exploring hair extensions or just visiting the salon to get to know it better, this event is for your. Plus their events are always a good time! RSVP is below or visit The Doves Studio for more information: http://www.thedovesstudio.com.
If you’re visiting LA or live her looking for a new hair salon in LA, I think you’ll love any of these. xoxo
