Jean Dress + Personal Updates

Hi loves. I’m down in Encinitas visiting my family and finally settling down to get some work done.  You may have noticed, I’ve taken one of the longest breaks from posting on my blog than I have in a while and I wanted to share some personal updates. I’m in a bit of transition mode…

I don’t talk about it much because it’s not relevant to you but over the past few years I’ve been working full time and blogging. It’s what a lot of people do because let’s face it, blogging doesn’t happen overnight. Blogging isn’t something that pays your bills without a lot of time, hard work and dedication. I’ve always loved being a blogger but I knew with a full-time job that I wasn’t able to provide you with the quality and consistency you deserve. I also was starting to lose an overall happiness and sense of balance in my life due to the nonstop work and feeling like I was always behind. I knew that in order to really pursue my work with Style Wax Poetic and to live a more balanced life, I needed to make a change. I’m thrilled to announce excited I’m now a freelancer, which means more of a flexible schedule and most importantly, more time for you!

I always love hearing your feedback and I’m here to learn more from you: what types of posts do you enjoy?  Is there anything that Style Wax Poetic is missing that you’d like for me to add? Is there anything I can learn from you to ensure you have a better user experience? I trust and appreciate your opinions as after all, the only reason I’m able to continue what I love is because of you, so thank you for reading, commenting and following along.

Now back to the outfit post: this jean dress is from a brand you’ve heard me talk about a couple times: Cosette Clothing. It’s made from Italian denim, so it’s thick, with stretch and very comfortable.  It has adjustable straps and a zipper in the back. This is the first time I’ve worn it but I can definitely see this becoming a staple this summer like Cosette’s fall dress did. I still wear Cosette’s Eva dress all the time and it doesn’t wrinkle so it’s amazing for packing on weekend trips.

I’m wearing a layered look today but this jean dress is also so really cute on its own. This day in LA it was a little chilly so I appreciate the long sleeve button down and faux leather jacket.

And let’s talk about light blue! I’ve recently been wearing jean and light blues and it’s been a great color for summer days and goes well with blonder skin tones. I purchased this faux leather jacket from Zara – they also recently launched in in a blush tone which is so pretty.
